While ancient “technologies” such as drumming, music, plant medicines, and fire gazing continue to be practiced, humanity is now developing and using new tools to achieve higher levels of awareness. How can we hold this growing mix of technology and personal and planetary awakening? What is the role of technology in transformation? What do new technologies offer that is different or builds on the traditional tools of our ancestors? What are the shadow sides to incorporating these technologies into our lives?

This inspirational video was created for the IONS Conference in the summer of 2007. It describes the work of IONS and the science of consciousness and it invites people to think differently about themselves and the world we live in. It gives a sense of how and why IONS came to be, and why so many people are so passionate about the work of the Institute.

This paper overviews The Worldview Literacy Project, an experiential pedagogy designed to increase students' awareness of their worldviews. The curriculum opens a conversational space of exploration where diverse worldviews are welcomed with curiosity and wonder, in service to creating the deeper collective understanding and more effective sense-making required to navigate life in the post-industrial age.
