In this program Dennis Genpo Merzel Roshi shares his groundbreaking “Big Mind Big Heart” teaching, a combination of Zen & Western psychology with host Tina Amorok. They discuss the “Buddha Mind” – the mind of clarity, transcendental wisdom, and unconditional compassion. And the need to examine the shadow side of ourselves.

Genpo Roshi uses the image of a triangle in his teaching to demonstrate the different aspects of our existence. The left side of the triangle is the duality of our human emotions and experience, good/bad, joy/sorrow, male/female... the right side represents the non-dual aspect of our existance, our "being-ness" and the apex of the triangle is where we can consciously choose to be human, integrating both aspects of ourselves.

He asks the listener's permission to address the 'big mind' and shifts our awareness to a new perspective.
