In this teleseminar, author, dream work innovator, and Unitarian Universalist minister Dr. Jeremy Taylor describes the importance of dreams and nightmares in revealing our shadow side. Dr. Taylor gives an example of someone who had nightmares of dark-skinned adolescent males which caused him great distress. They represented his own fear and anger and caused unintended prejudice when he saw similar youths in his waking life. Dr. Taylor tells us “Until we can reconcile with our own interior beings, the pressures to project those fears outward onto the natural world are immense and ultimately unavoidable.” In his conversation with host Tina Amorok, he describes how the dream work process provides an opportunity to work through unconscious fears and release their effects in our lives.
